WOW. I saw Charles Freeman's interview with Fareed Zakaria on GPS a few weeks ago, and it was revelatory.

There is no other issue in American politics where one side of the debate is so systematically silenced as the question of Israel and the Palestinians. The Palestinian POV is almost never seen or heard.

Of course, the Palestinians haven't exactly played the role of innocent victims, with their innumerable acts of terrorism against Israelis both before and after Israeli independence, and their embrace of Hamas and support for Saddam Hussein. So the only role they have been allowed to play in the American morality drama is the role of evil villain.

Pity. There are two sides to this story.
