I also nominate "mission," which until recently meant something diplomatic or religious. Now it's used as a euphemism for "war" in all government press releases, and the media parrot it mindlessly. It implies sending troops somewhere was somehow God's idea, and thus can't really be questioned. Thus, it's superior for warmongers to the old euphemisms like "our commitment" or "treaty obligations" or "police action," all of which are quite clearly thought up by humans. I suggest replacing "mission" with "whim," "compulsion," "adventure," to get right to the point, "murder-suicide" or "killing spree."

One mark of an empire, by the way, is that the federal government is convinced it can greatly improve governance in some other country, but is powerless to guarantee free and honest elections in, say, Florida or Ohio.

This is a chilling depiction indeed, but a clear and necessary summation that hopefully will become more widely known.

Given the aim of the oligarchy to ensure the dumbing down of the population, a target that is slowly but surely being achieved, I hope also that articles such as this one can be written so that it can reach even the TV and MSM-addled brains of many who simply live off the "Pravda-speak" of the communication organ put out by our corporate leaders.
